Seeking a Shop Maintenance Fleet Mechanic experienced candidate with repairing and troubleshooting industrial equipment. This is a direct hire opportunity with a company offering excellent benefits and a long term career opportunity.
The successful individual will be responsible for:
- Preventive maintenance and mechanical/electrical repairs on our gas and diesel delivery vehicles
- Including cars and trucks with some equipment repairs including forklifts, powered pallet jacks, utility trailers, and some preventive maintenance and repairs on our snow removal equipment
- Unique circumstances will prompt the need for outsourcing
- ASE or dealership certification is a plus but not required
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment unsupervised in a timely manner
- You will be maintaining accurate equipment/safety log books and need the ability to read, write, and understand English
- Individual must be in good physical condition, with some heavy lifting and ability to work within confined spaces
- Other duties as needed
Requirements:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident with Green Card (ITAR Facility)
- 5+ years in similar role
- Individual must be in good physical condition, with some heavy lifting and ability to work within confined spaces
- A tool box with basic hand tools is required, specialty tools and testing equipment are provided
- Valid license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to pass preemployment drug and background screenings
