As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a key role in assembling mechanical components and systems according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. You will be required to use both hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, with experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and finished products as per engineering drawings, work orders, and job instructions.
  • Use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) and power tools (drills, impact drivers, etc.) to complete assembly tasks.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all components are assembled correctly and meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor assembly issues as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Report any defects, safety concerns, or equipment issues to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
