Local Machine Shop seeking Welders for 2nd shift opportunities! Looking for individuals that can TIG/MIG weld steel parts.
- Uses MIG/TIG welder to assemble fabricated carbon steel, stainless steel and low alloy parts and fixtures
- Produces strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent
- Utilize tools and measuring instruments to position and align sub-assemblies, parts and raw materials in jigs
- Set-up and operate welding machines
- Fosters a cultural of safety by adhering to safety policies and procedures
- Participates in improvement efforts by providing input, feedback and displaying willingness to adapt and change
- Cleans and maintains an orderly work area
Requirements:
- Experience or related schooling are a plus
- Excellent pulsed MIG and/or TIG carbon steel, stainless steel, low alloy welding skills.
- High mechanical aptitude to safely and skillfully operate hand tools and other metal working tools.
- Able to accurately measure and perform basic math
- Able to accurately work with and interpret Engineering drawings
