Will be fulfilling customer orders by moving materials, receiving and unloading poly material, operating saws, operating planers and other hand finishing equipment.  Verify materials meet the purchase order requirements at receiving. In a safe manner, you will move material from the receiving area to their correct inventory location. Fills out material issue cards. Sets up and operates saws and planers or special purpose machines to prepare material for further operations. Understands dimensions of 1/8" tolerances and what the sequence of operations should be. Verifies conformance of materials to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Uses tape measures and dial calipers to measure and document dimensions of the work piece. Able to use hand tools and power tools. Fork truck and crane use required.



High School Diploma or equivalent- Trade School Diploma preferred. Minimum two years of hands on experience with the set up and operation of Saws, Planers and other types of machines. Experience with devices to lift heavy irregular shaped objects ( i.e. cranes, power lifts and methods of lifting.) Basic shop mathematics, able to read intermediate level blue prints, understand the order of machining operations and good manufacturing practices. Able to read and interpret basic blue prints. Able to correctly use and read measuring tools ( i.e. tape measure and Vernier calipers.) Control the equipment to hold tolerances of .125 consistently. Verbal and written communication skills to convey information with the organization. Ability to solve practical manufacturing problems with little guidance. Able to prioritize tasks.
