Parts Tester – Manufacturing Career Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven individual eager to advance their career in manufacturing within a family-owned engineering company.

The ideal candidate will be a reliable, detail-oriented individual capable of working independently with efficiency and precision. While prior experience is not required, a strong willingness to learn and adapt is essential.

This is a repetitive yet highly focused role that requires keen attention to detail. The work environment involves handling high-spec mineral oil, which is non-toxic and not hazardous. Candidates should wear comfortable clothing that can tolerate potential staining due to the nature of the work.

Initially, the Parts Tester will undergo hands-on training and supervision to ensure understanding of the procedures. As the individual demonstrates aptitude, there will be opportunities for growth, including the chance to learn the full setup and procedures for each testing cycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn, grow, and contribute to a dynamic, family-oriented company in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately complete detailed paperwork, documenting quantities of parts processed and tracking repairs and rework.
  • Follow multi-step instructions and procedures with precision.
  • Use and interpret drop dial indicators to measure parts.
  • Set and calibrate gauges to ensure accuracy.
  • Apply basic math skills, including an understanding of decimals.
  • Understand and apply + or – tolerances in measurements.
  • Set and read digital thermometers to monitor and maintain correct oil temperatures.
