Responsible for monitoring, maintaining and improving inventory accuracy. The position responsibilities are centered on cycle counting along with assisting warehouse management with reconciling inventory variances at the location level on a timely basis. The position identifies deficiencies (lack of inventory control) and recommends process improvements. Conduct daily cycle counts in a perpetual inventory environment. Communicate cycle count results to Warehouse and Inventory Control Management. Research cycle count variances to identify root cause. Identify process improvements that lead to improved inventory accuracy. Identify and correct discrepancies at the location level as needed. Monitor all functions related to inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Provide management with detailed weekly reviews. Develop and maintain inventory related spreadsheets. Perform miscellaneous functions requested by supervisor/manager, which may include covering other areas in the event of personnel shortages. Willingness to accept varying shifts and schedules.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years inventory control experience is a plus. Ability to operate material handling equipment and to work in a cold storage environment for prolonged periods of time (temp in freezer is -15 degrees)
