- Work from blueprints, customer specifications, production schedules, written and verbal instructions.
- Set-up and operate spot welder to fit and fasten housing sides, wrapper sheets, and other components parts utilizing the welder set up grid.
- Perform regular inspection of parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Use jigs, fixtures, holders and various gages to maintain tolerances; check parts and materials for visual defects and adherence to specifications.
- Complete regular tip maintenance to insure proper weld quality; adjust equipment as required; set weld and modify as necessary utilizing the welder set up grid.
- Interact with shop floor computer terminals to record time and production activities.
- Record production counts, scrap amounts and indirect labor.
- Use pallet jack to move containers.
- Exercise proper care in the use of tools, equipment and materials.
- Complete inspection procedure per QF forms as required.
- Process paperwork, labeling, etc. based on work instructions, work in process, customer specifications, quality audits, and other related requirements.
- Complete required reports and records.
- Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, improper operations and unusual conditions to supervision.
- Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Experience operating machinery.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
