The Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician is responsible for the assembly, calibration and testing of winding, slitting, guiding and cutting machines.
First Shift: M-F - 7:00AM-3:30PM with OT available!
Job Duties:
- Assemble, calibrate and test electromechanical winding, slitting, guiding, cutting machines
- Assist repairs department with troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, pneumatic and electronic components
- Reconfigure and build custom mechanical, electrical and pneumatic components from stocked inventory parts to fill customer orders
- Control inventory and BOM changes when modifying standard components to custom
- Receive and perform quality inspection on incoming material purchased from sub suppliers
- Work closely with customer service and engineering teams to ensure timely completion of assembly orders
- Work in other areas of production as needed
- Crate finished machinery for delivery
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Read and interpret engineering blueprints
- Ability to read and interpret circuit schematics, and manufacturers' manuals (or similar documents), and work with sketches and verbal instructions in circuit wiring, and relay logic
- Ability to assemble and perform basic troubleshooting on electrical panels from wiring / circuit diagrams without step-by-step work instructions
- Ability to complete mechanical assemblies from subcomponent and finished assembly blueprints without step-by-step work instructions
- Skilled in operation of basic shop tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of control systems
- Good communication skills with engineering / customer service and production teams
- Inventory and BOM management
