Seeking a Direct Hire candidate for a Manual Lathe Machinist position on second shift. This opportunity is Monday - Thursday, working 4 - 10 hour days from, 3:00PM-1:30AM with overtime available.
Job Duties:
- Setup, operate, and run manual lathes used to process components, occasionally using stead rests and 3 or 4 jaw chucks
- Work from process sheets, blueprints or other written/verbal instructions to perform production tasks
- Load machines manually or using a crane when maneuvering large, awkward or heavy parts
- Setup and read micrometers, indicators, and calipers
- Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner
- Check and inspect operation against predetermined tolerances
- Work in other areas or departments as assigned for lathe work
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant experience operating manual equipment in manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
- Ability to read, interpret and operate from blueprints
- Must be able to operate machinery using exact dimensions/speeds/feeds while maintaining operations for dimension/speed/feed adjustments in product development as necessary
