The Quality Engineer will lead quality initiatives for a busy manufacturing environment. Will:
- Implement lean and six sigma methodologies
- Create and implement quality control plans and standards and train other staff on quality
- Identify root cause of defects and waste and initiate corrective action
- Provide quality support on the manufacturing floor
- Manage external & internal audits and create reports
- Assist in supplier selection, qualification, and review of performance
- Provide support to engineering
- Work with standards such as UL and ISO 9001
- BS degree in Engineering
- 2-3 years work experience in a manufacturing environment (machine shop experience strongly preferred)
- Hands-on individual with strong problem solving skills to work with floor personnel
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- ASQC Certification a plus
